In the News: SB 39 & HB 4688

Texas has the deadliest roads in the country, but trucking lobbyists are back at the Capitol, shamelessly trying to push for more special privileges under the law. SB 39 and HB 4688 would make it even harder for injured Texans to introduce evidence of a company's wrongdoing and prove their case in court. 

Executive Director Ware Wendell told lawmakers: “It’s only helping the insurance companies, and it’s only punishing the innocent. The jury deserves the whole truth, nothing but the truth; they deserve it up front.”
