Public nuisance laws protect property and life in our state, holding wrongdoers like big polluters and opioid pill pushers accountable. These laws have protected local communities for many years, but they are under attack at the Texas Capitol. Corporate lobbyists are pushing for dangerous legal restrictions, which will only lead to more harm.
When communities can’t recover their costs from wrongdoers in court, local taxpayers are made to pay the price. That isn’t right. Wrongdoers should pay for the harm they cause. Legal restrictions will only hurt innocent citizens.
Take one minute to tell your state lawmakers to OPPOSE HB 1372 and SB 1034!
