Victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment in the workplace should not face any barriers to justice. Unfortunately, in Texas, survivors of this awful behavior in the workplace have to jump through administrative government hoops before taking civil action. And, they are limited by a short 300-day window to take action, rather than the standard 2 years to take action.
This isn't right. We need to cut the government red tape. Lawmakers should make it easier for victims of sexual assault and harassment to seek justice, not harder. Please take one minute to tell your elected officials to support HB 1999 by Rep. Julie Johnson and SB 1041 by Sen. Hughes!
