We're Looking for a Great Legislative Intern!
Legislative Internship Opportunity
Are you interested in making a real impact while learning how advocacy works at the Texas Capitol? We’re looking for a Legislative Intern to assist with key activities that support our team’s efforts in organizing and advocating for important causes! We are a nonpartisan nonprofit that advocates for safety and justice for Texas consumers, workers, and families at the Capitol. What You’ll Do:
- Help organize and manage volunteers during critical events at the Capitol. Support the executive team with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
- Monitor and document client stories to ensure they’re highlighted in advocacy efforts.
- Prepare, organize, and deliver literature and materials to stakeholders and legislators.
- Provide general assistance with administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For:
- A motivated and reliable individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment, both remote and in-person.
- Attention to detail.
- Interest in advocacy, nonprofit work, or legislative processes is a plus!

Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Commitment: Part-time, 10 hours/week, ending May 30, 2025
- Compensation: $15/hour
